Walmart’s Lisa Perry elected board chair of Arkansas Advanced Energy Association

Lisa Perry, Director of Utility Partnerships - Regulatory for Walmart, was elected Chair of the Arkansas Advanced Energy Association(AAEA) during the board of director’s quarterly meeting on Tuesday.

“I'm honored to take this role so we can push energy policy that will move the state forward at both the legislative and regulatory level,” Perry said. “When you hear the amount of load that is coming, the system is not ready. To meet this need, we will have to work together creatively. We’ve got a challenging energy landscape in Arkansas and we need to make sure we’re using all the tools we have. We [AAEA] have a lot more bandwidth now, so this is an opportunity to push forward even more. That’s my hope over my two-year tenure.”
