What to Expect
Entergy filed its first rate case (26-001-U) in ten years with the Public Service Commission seeking to add the approximately $650,000,000 in Formula Rate Plan riders they have been receiving over the preceding ten years into their base rates, for which they will generate a return, and increase the base rate another approximately $45,000,000. This additional rate increase is primarily being added to the rates for small commercial consumers in Entergy’s filings. The Association intends to move to intervene in this Docket to represent the interests of Advanced Energy in Arkansas.
Additionally, Entergy also filed a Generate Arkansas Jobs Act Rider (26-008-TF) update in a separate Docket intending to create a rider charge for the Construction Work in Progress too be added to existing bills. The Association is a party to this Docket.
Finally, the Public Service Commission has opened a Docket (26-009-U) to investigate Entergy’s treatment of production tax credits and their impact on the rate base for Entergy’s consumers as well as other investment tax credits and their treatment for the rate base of Arkansas consumers. The Association has moved to intervene in this Docket to represent the interests of Advanced Energy in Arkansas.

Docket opened to (1) investigate the sale of EAL’s nuclear PTCs for 2025, including the reasonableness of the terms and conditions of sale; (2) investigate the appropriate ratemaking treatment of ITCs and PTCs for all of EAL’s eligible resources; (3) determine how the proceeds of any sales should flow back to EAL’s ratepayers, including the mechanism and amortization period; and (4) for any other related matters.
